COURSE DESCRIPTION
Application of communication theory and learning principles to design of
educational products. Course focuses on filmless, chemicaless photographic
skills for educational settings.
ASSIGNMENTS (click on title to view submitted deliverable)
Session #3 - Photographic Resources Web-Search
Students are to conduct a web-search and identify 10 web resources
related to digital photography and post a description of the resource
and the URL address on their portfolio website.
Session #4 - Photo Gallery I: Photo Digitization/Restoration
Students are to create a web photo gallery of scanned photographs that have been digitally enhanced or restored (minimum of 10).
Session #5 - Visual Cueing Aid
Students are to produce a photograph that incorporates a visual cueing
strategy, such as text, directional arrows, circles, highlighting, and
enlargement.
Session #6 - Photo Gallery II: Micro Scale
Students are to create a web photo gallery of micro scale digital photographs (minimum of 10).
Session #7 - Collage
Students are to create an digital photo collage that is a composite photograph made of other photographs layered and overlaid.
Session #8 - Photo Gallery III: Altered Perspectives
Students are to create a web photo gallery of altered perspective digital photographs (minimum of 10).
Session #9 - Media Slideshow
Students are to combine at least 10 slides to construct a media
slide show that includes a sound track with sound/narration for each
slide.
Session #10 - PowerPoint Presentation
Students are to create a PowerPoint presentation that includes a collection of a minimum of 10 digital photographs.
Session #11 - Stock Photography Collection
Each student is to compile a web photo gallery collection of at least 20 original stock photographs.
